"I'm uncomfortable that the attorney general of North Dakota is taking on a case against the American Indians in North Dakota. I say taking on a case against Indians because the lawsuit against the National Collegiate Athletic Administration over a mandate barring UND's use of the Fighting Sioux nickname is, for all intents and purposes, a suit against Indians, too."
The last time I checked the "Indians" are pretty much independant of ND. After all they have their own license plates, court system, etc. I think they are considered to be their own entity and I doubt Doreen wants to change that. Can't have it both ways.
Or maybe there aren't as many that feel as "uncomfortable" as Doreen does.

I am trying to figure out what this says, Its looks like Doreen needs an editor.
The mascot and logo do not fan hostility or abusiveness at the university, UND administrators claim.
I think the "fan" word means air movement like "fan the flames" and not the folks that attend the games. But you already knew that. :0
From what I've heard, Ms. Yellowbird always get's plenty of help editing her articles. Apparently before that, they wouldn't be publishable.
Doreen was "uncomfortable" with Gov Hoeven's views on capitalism and economic development back when he was running for governor.
Seems like he's done a decent job so far, huh?
FWIW - I will never intentionally take a personal shot at someone.
Their statements, ideas, articles, affiliations, claims, political stature, leanings, etc. are fair game but never them personally.
I really don't care how much help Doreen gives or needs, it's the published end result that gets judged.
Kinda self-rightous but it's personal thing with me.
